BC150
Agricultural Heritage
This year we celebrate British Columbia's 150th Anniversary. Agriculture has
played an important role in the history of BC and our community. Look in our
Prize Book for classes designated as BC150 Heritage Classes. On
page 10 look for new exciting classes just for this celebration. All first place
winners of these classes will receive an additional $10 prize and all first place
winners will be displayed together in one BC150 display booth.
Youth
- Let's Go Green
It's important for all of us to learn to be more environmentally responsible.
The youth of our community will lead the way. This year we have created the "Let's
Go Green" program and throughout the book you will find specially designated
classes marked "Let's Go Green". There are
also new classes in Department Y on page 11. All first place winners will receive
an additional $10 prize and will
be displayed together in the "Let's Go Green"
booth.

New
Action Packed 3 Day Format
Everything this year is about making the Exhibition a great family oriented event.
The family and seniors admission has been reduced, and of course, parking is
free.
Lots of free entertainment for the kids in the improved kids zone, this year
located on the grass behind the buildings.
A focus on what our own community is about - our heritage, entertainers, business,
agricultural and youth.
All of our stage entertainment will be provided by great local talent.
The Rodeo is hosted by the Chilliwack Rodeo Association and other equestrian
events are hosted by the Chilliwack Riding Club. Chilliwack 4-H clubs host the
4-H show and there will be lots of information about local agriculture and businesses.
A change for the midway this year - family oriented midway provided by Fraser
Amusements.
Expanded market place will also help round out your experience at the Exhibition.
